Bay Area Green Business Bio-Diesel Hauling

Environmentally friendly transport

Rates:

$30/hr plus $1/mile

(from my starting location in zip 94619 - estimate your mileage charge by clicking here)

plus any tolls, dump fees (see below), or other expenses.

($50 minimum)

This rate is the same for both delivery and handyman services.  Mileage is charged one way only, and covers my fuel and other vehicle expenses.  Bio-Diesel is significantly more expensive than petroleum diesel is.

Rate for customers who do not own a motor vehicle is $25 per hour, with a $40 minimum.

Dump fee is a minimum of $35 per load. Anything over 1 cubic yard increases this.

This is in addition to hourly and mileage rates.

Charge will be the same for all materials, reuseable or not.  This is because, while I avoid the dump fee by recycling, selling, and donating things from dump runs, it is substantially more work to sort, transport, store, advertise, etc.

Approximate volumes

  • The bed half full,             ~1 cu yd      ($35)
  • A load level with sides,   ~2.25 cu yd ($75)
  • A load level with roof,    ~5 cu yd      ($175)
  • Maximum capacity,        ~10 cu yd    ($350)

Heavy materials (rock, dirt, tile, demolition debris)

  • 1/4 of truck bed,        ~1 ton         ($115)
  • 1/2 of truck bed,       ~1.75 tons   ($200)
  • 3/4 of truck bed,       ~2.6 tons     ($300)
  • full to sides (max),     ~3.5 tons     ($400)
  • The minimum total cost for a dump run is $75

(1 hour load/sort/unload time, 10 miles from base to transfer station, 1 cubic yard of material)

Dump fee may be waved for large loads of clean, separated, scrap metal or cardboard, or misc items in excellent condition
